Sales manager Agronomy

HuizingHarvest is a powerful team of professionals active in agricultural technology. We work for multiple manufacturers of agricultural machinery and large farm operations. Currently we are active in Ukraine, Pakistan and Egypt.

Especially for those large farm operations we offer practical consultancy around the world. Our skilled team of specialists are able to provide farm management, technical support, operator training, harvest optimization and equipment checks.

This is a position that you won’t step fully into all at once, we will build the work with you. In the start of your HuizingHarvest journey you will perform the above activities yourself to get a good insight into the business and get in close contact with our current customers. Next, the focus in your position will be then more on project management and acquisition.

More about the tasks:

During your first year in this position at HuizingHarvest, you will provide technical support at large-scale farms, train operators, advise on crop and machine optimization and perform equipment checks at ongoing projects.
You also start acquisition of new projects worldwide. You will visit customers and trade fairs. To acquire these projects, you will support the development and implementation of projects to improve crop yields and sustainability.
Besides building and maintaining contact with farms, you will also have contact with investors, institutions such as RVO and the World Bank. This to see where new projects arise or subsidies become available. New interesting markets could be the Middle East and Asia.

During the second year the focus will be more on project management and acquisition. Together with our Projects team you will be responsible for the project planning and make certain that the staff involved in the projects is well prepared.

A great position in an ambitious and down-to-earth international company. We work worldwide and our team is international. You do not have to live near one of our offices.

What do you bring with you in terms of experience?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in international consulting and sales
  • Strong knowledge of crop management and sustainable farming practices
  • Knowledge of precision farming, technology and mechanization
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently towards developing countries
  • It is a plus if you are familiar with grant providers
We offer you

  • An employment contract for 40 hours a week
  • A salary between € 3.000,- and € 3.600,- gross per month based on a 40-hour working week and depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • If you are not on tour, you are always welcome to come to the office in Emmen, but of course is working from home also possible.
