This summer, Mike is back at HuizingHarvest, delivering on-site dealer support.
Last year, Mike Mohlmann impressed us by transforming our old MF combine into a functional display model. After his successful internship, he returned to his mechanical engineering studies. Now, a year later, we find Mike in the workshop at a dealership just across the border in Germany.
On-Site Dealer Support
This summer, Mike is working at HuizingHarvest, providing on-site dealer support. In the first two weeks, he built and replaced air conditioning systems on two telehandlers, and then he replaced the cylinder heads of a CLAAS forage harvester. He enjoys working with tools and the long workdays.
Mike had previously worked as a mechanic before returning to his studies, and now, during the summer vacation, he’s picking up the work again. Next year, he will begin his final year of mechanical engineering. In the meantime, he was eager to work and found out through Frank at HuizingHarvest that there was an opportunity to join their team. During the week, he stays in a hotel, and on the weekends, he goes home, where he enjoys attending summer festivals like the Zwarte Cross. He likes working hard now and saving up for his own house.
His father is thrilled that Mike is doing this work. They keep in close contact about his tasks. His father, once a farmer himself, loves hearing all about it. The work is varied, and every day is different.
