Agricultural mechanic in Australia

Are you a qualified mechanic and do you have passion for the agricultural sector? Are you eager to embark on an adventure ‘down under’? For the HuizingHarvest branch in Australia, we are looking for a mechanic to support various assignments.


Does this describe you?

Are you the mechanic willing to take on an adventure in Australia for a minimum period of 3 months (preferably longer)? Have you completed technical training and have an affinity with agricultural technology? The work will be both in our own workshop in New Gisborn and on-site at dealers throughout Australia. It is important that you can work independently, you can communicate well in English and you enjoy being part of an international team.


Key responsibilities

  • Technical support
    You will work on mainly new agricultural machines, including tractors, combines and forage harvesters.
  • Problem solving
    Use your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring optimal machine performance.
  • Pre-delivery inspections, commissioning and testing
    Pre-delivery inspections, commissioning and test new machinery on-site.
  • Assembly projects
    Overview in assembly projects, for example, large seeders

Qualifications

You have technical knowledge and passion for the agricultural sector. You enjoy adventure and variety in your work and are available to work in Australia for a minimum period of 3 months (preferably longer).

  • Experience
  • Preferably, you have completed an MBO 4 or HBO education in the agricultural/technical field.
  • Language skills
  • A good command of at least the English language is required; knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.
  • Work ethic
  • You can adhere to the protocols as they apply in other countries on the work floor.
  • Competencies
  • You are independent, have a strong sense of responsibility, and think in terms of possibilities.
