About the role
Do you have strong technical skills, enjoy working on agricultural machinery, and are you up for an adventure in Australia? Then this could be your next step!
As an Ag Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising the workshop while actively working alongside your team. You’ll be servicing and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery from leading brands such as Horsch, AGCO, Krone, and MacDon. You ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
In addition to working in our workshop in New Gisborne (VIC), you will also travel across Australia to carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown support on-site.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support mechanics in the workshop
- Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Carry out field service work across various locations in Australia
- Plan and coordinate workshop activities
- Monitor quality, safety, and job progress
- Maintain customer relationships and deliver excellent service
What we’re looking for
- A completed technical qualification (e.g. agricultural engineering, ag mechanics, or mechanical engineering)
- Proven experience in agricultural machinery or similar heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Leadership experience or the ambition to step into a leading role
- Flexible attitude and willingness to travel within Australia
- Good command of English
- Valid driver’s licence
