We are looking for a motivated Farm Manager for our client, a German-based farming company. Since 2014, they have been farming arable land in the historic region of Bucovina, North-Eastern Romania. They grow wheat, rapeseed, maize, soybeans, sunflowers, and sugar beets on more than 1,900 hectares, using modern agricultural equipment and technologies. For managing their arable farm in Romania, we are looking for a:

Your responsibilities include:
• Planning & Organizing the work based on the day-to-day management of the team.
• Control of fieldwork and quality of the crops.
• Working with new techniques and methods to work more efficiently.
• Planning and monitoring of machine usage.

You are the candidate:

• With at least a bachelor’s degree in arable farming and crop production, combined with a few years of practical experience working on an arable farm and its production.
• Who has management and leadership capabilities.
• Who has knowledge of GPS and telemetry software, preferably with experience in working with such software.
• Willing to relocate to Romania.
• With international experience and knowledge of foreign languages. Knowledge of Romanian is an advantage but not a requirement.

  Overall you must have in-depth knowledge of crop cultivation, handling agricultural machinery and business organization. The ability to work in an experienced and motivated team which is ready to support you in your work.
  This is a long term position; it even gives you the opportunity to become a member of the farm owners.
